De sleepwát?!

Tijdens deze informatieavond komen verschillende experts op juridisch en technisch vlak uitleg geven over de nieuwe Wet op de Inlichtingen- en Veiligheidsdiensten, ofwel de `sleepwet’.

In de aanloop naar het referendum is er veel te doen om aftappen en hacking door de AIVD. Maar wat krijgen de diensten nou precies voor bevoegdheden onder de nieuwe wet? Hoe ziet de uitoefening van die bevoegdheden er in de praktijk uit? Hoe haalbaar is succesvol aftappen eigenlijk op een internet waar sterke cryptografie steeds meer standaard wordt? En wie houdt er toezicht op dat de privacy van onschuldige burgers niet in het gedrang komt?

Op deze vragen, en meer, wordt aan de hand van praktische voorbeelden dieper ingegaan. Zo worden waargebeurde verhalen uit Nederland en de rest van West-Europa aangehaald en termen als ‘onderzoeksopdrachtgerichte interceptie’ en ‘metadata-analyse’ in begrijpelijke taal uitgelegd.
