Voor autonome ruimtes! Info AZ Köln & Ubica gevangenen schrijven

Op a.s. woensdagavond 26 juni draait alles om autonome ruimtes, waar de Grote Broek (het ‘thuis’ van Anarchist Black Cross Nijmegen) er ook één van is. We beginnen met een info-avond over de dreigende ontruiming van Autonoom Centrum Köln (DE) en eindigen met het schrijven naar de Ubica gevangenen. English below.

Vanavond zullen enkele activisten van het autonoom centrum Köln (AZ Köln), Duitsland, vertellen over de strijd voor het behoud van hun autonome ruimte die in april 2010 gekraakt werd. Na eerdere dreigende ontruimingen werd in april 2011 een contract afgedwongen door een grote variëteit aan acties, verzet en solidariteit van vele mensen uit vele plekken. Het AZ Köln kon hierdoor blijven voortbestaan door middel van een gelegaliseerde status, maar nog altijd even autonoom! Dit contract werd een tijd geleden opgezegd, onder druk van verschillende politieke partijen, en verloopt op 30 juni 2013, waardoor het AZ Köln opnieuw bedreigd wordt met ontruiming. Vanavond zullen enkele activisten van AZ Köln je updaten over de plannen en acties tegen de ontruiming, zoals de actie-week van 28 juni tot 7 juli. WIR BLEIBEN ALLE!

Na de info-avond zullen we de gevangenen schrijven die tijdens de ontruiming van de Ubica gearresteerd zijn. In de nacht van 24 mei 2013 werd de Ubica, sinds 21 jaar gekraakt en één van de laatste autonome plekken in Utrecht, ontruimd na maanden van strijd en rechtszaken. 9 arrestanten werden veroordeeld tot onvoorwaardelijke celstraf van 1 maand tot 6 weken. Daarnaast moeten de gevangenen gezamelijk een schadevergoeding van bijna 15.000,- euro betalen.Vanavond zullen we de gevangenen van de Ubica kaartjes en brieven schrijven en zal er meer info zijn over hoe je de Ubica gevangenen kan helpen!

Tonight several activists from the autonomous center in Cologne (AZ Köln), Germany, will talk about the fight for their autonomous center that was squatted in April 2010. After previous eviction threats a contract was forced in April 2011 by a variety of actions, resistance and solidarity from many people from many places. Because of this, AZ Köln could continue as a legalised, but still autonomous space. This contract was cancelled a while ago, pressured by several political parties, and will expire on the 30th of June 2013 by which the AZ Köln is threatened with eviction once again. Tonight several activists from AZ Köln will update you on the plans and actions against the eviction, like the week of action from the 28th of Juni till the 7th of July. WIR BLEIBEN ALLE!

After the info evening we will write to the prisoners who were arrested during the eviction of the Ubica. In the night of the 24th of May 2013 the Ubica, squatted for more than 21 years and one of the last autonomous spaces in Utrecht, got evicted after months of struggle and courtcases. 9 arrestees were sentenced to jail for 1 month up to 6 weeks. Besides this, the prisoners must pay damage restitutions of a total ammount of 15.000,- euro’s. Tonight we will write cards and letters to the prisoners of the Ubica and there will be more info on how to help the Ubica prisoners!
