Soli-event for worker-controlled Greek factory VIO.ME.
The debate on who produces what, for whom, how and under which working relations with Vio.Me. is far from being settled. In this evening we discuss the case of Vio.Me. The workers of Vio.Me. have answered the aforementioned questions with the triptych Resist, Occupy, Produce.
*Resist*. The workers of Vio.Me. are standing against unemployment and poverty and fighting for dignity.
*Occupy*. The workers of Vio.Me. decided to occupy and self-manage the factory in their general assembly.
*Produce*. Since 12 February 2013 the workers of Vio.Me. produce environmentally friendly, ecological cleaning products.
The evening starts with a vegan dinner, continues with the screening of the film “Occupy, Resist, Produce: Vio.Me.” by Dario Azzellini and Oliver Ressler. After the screening, we will have a discussion via Skype with K. Charitakis on behalf of Vio.Me. The evening will close with a call for action as Vio.Me. faces a threat of eviction.
