Taksim Gezi Fest 2015

In Rotterdam zal dit jaar op 4 juli voor de tweede keer Gezi Fest plaatsvinden. Een festival met discussie, film, info, muziek, spel met het verzet van Taksim Square twee jaar geleden in onze herrinering: "Taksim everywhere, resistance everywhere" De Anarchistische Groep Nijmegen (AGN) zal deze dag ook aanwezig zijn met een infostand en een bijdrage door middel van de vertoning van een film met een discussie. Eind mei 2013, is in het Gezi Park te Istanbul een opstand begonnen die gedurende de hele maand juni heeft voortgeduurd en zich vrij snel heeft verspreid over heel Turkije. Het was een volksopstand, een verzet van burgers tegen de steeds groter wordende onderdrukking van de regering. Ook wij in Nederland hebben ons vanaf de eerste dag van deze volksopstand solidair getoond met miljoenen mensen in Turkije en hebben verschillende acties op touw gezet. Als Gezi Solidariteit Nederland hebben wij het verzet in Turkije nauw gevolgd en met regelmaat verschillende bijeenkomsten gehouden in de vorm van een open forum waarbij er volop gediscussieerd en gedebatteerd kon worden over actualiteiten en sociaal-maatschappelijke problemen in zowel Turkije als in de rest van de wereld.Vorig jaar hebben wij in juni een festival georganiseerd om de verjaardag van de Gezi protesten te herdenken. Met dit festival is het ons gelukt om de geest van Gezi op symbolische wijze naar Nederland te brengen. Dit jaar willen onze vrijwilligers met de zelfde geest van samenwerken, solidariteit en vrijgevigheid wederom samenkomen om de tweede editie van Gezi Fest te realiseren. Zoals we vorig jaar zeiden: Er is een leus die voor eeuwig staat gegraveerd in ons bewustzijn, ons geweten, onze hartstocht, onze zintuigen, ons hele lichaam: “Overal is Taksim, Overal is Verzet.” Dit is de leus waaronder we wederom bij elkaar komen met al onze kleuren en al onze stemmen. Hoe kun je het festival steunen? - Je kunt wat te eten en/of te drinken meenemen en onze gezamenlijke tafel (buffet) verrijken.

- Als sponsor kun je een financiële bijdrage leveren.
- Je kunt allerlei technische apparatuur of materialen aan ons uitlenen: neem hiervoor contact met ons op.
- Je kunt je aanmelden om vrijwillig mee te helpen met de organisatie van allerhande activiteiten en zo een bijdrage leveren aan de commune.
- Alle steun en hulp is waardevol en welkom. Wij hopen dan ook op jouw aanwezigheid en inzet om er iets moois van te maken.

yılında İstanbul Gezi Parkı'nda Mayıs ayı sonunda başlayarak Haziran ayı boyunca tüm Türkiye'ye yayılan bir direniş yaşandı. Bu direniş iktidarın baskılarına karşı halkın başkaldırışıydı. Hollanda'da yaşayan bizler de direnişin başladığı ilk günden itibaren Türkiye'de milyonların yanında olduğumuzu gösterdik, eylemler yaptık. Direniş sonrasında ise Hollanda Gezi Dayanışması olarak bir araya geldiğimiz forumlarda tartışmalar yürütüp gerek Türkiye ve Hollanda, gerekse dünya gündemine dair sorunlarla ilgili eylemler düzenleyip tepkimizi gösterdik. Geçen sene Haziran direnişinin yıldönümünde bir festival düzenlemiş, bu festivalle sembolik de olsa Gezi ruhunu, dayanışmasını Hollanda'ya taşımıştık. Yine bu sene aynı dayanışma ruhu ve gönüllülerimizle Gezi Direnişi'nin ikinci yıl dönümünü anmak için bir araya gelmek istiyoruz. Geçen sene de dediğimiz gibi: Bilincimize, vicdanımıza, aşkımıza, kaslarımıza, görme biçimlerimize, eklemlerimize mıhlanmış bir bilme ve hatırlatma olarak, ‘Her yer Taksim, Her yer direniş’ diyerek buluşuyoruz yine, bütün renklerimiz ve seslerimizle bir araya geliyoruz.

Towards the end of May of 2013, a resistance began in Istanbul Gezi Park and spread across entire Turkey during the month of June. This resistance was that of the people rising up against governmental oppression. Those of us, living in the Netherlands, have shown our solidarity with the millions living in Turkey and have also organised protests in the Netherlands from the first day of the resistance. Following the resistance, we have regularly come together in forums, under the umbrella of Gezi Solidarity Netherlands, where we have debated issues related to, not only Turkey, but also to the Netherlands as well as global issues and have our reactions to these issues through various activities and protests.

Last year we prepared a festival in the anniversary of the Gezi resistance in June, and with this festival we managed to bring the spirit of Gezi to the Netherlands, in a symbolic way. Again with the same spirit of solidarity and colloboration with our volunteers we would like to come together again for the celebrating and commemorating the 2nd year anniversary of Gezi. As we said last year: As an awareness and a reminder nailed to our mind, to our consciousness, to our passion, to our muscles and joints, and to our ways of perception; saying "Taksim everywhere, resistance everywhere", we are going to meet again with all of our colors and voices.
